Theory covered online Practical session times: 9.30am – 4.30am Qualification Overview The Focus Awards Level 3 Certificate in Entry to Aesthetic Therapies (RQF) is aimed at learners who do not have a formal beauty therapy background and wish to work towards further study at Level 4 and above. Geographical Coverage: This qualification is available in England and Northern Ireland. Learner Entry Requirements: There are no entry requirements. Qualification Structure: to successfully complete the Focus Awards Level 3 Certificate in Entry to Aesthetics Practice (RQF) learners must complete 6 mandatory units. There are six mandatory units: Health and Safety in Aesthetics Practice Infection Prevention and Control Client Care, Skin Analysis, and Assessment Electrical Science for Aesthetics Practice Anatomy and Physiology Provide Facial Skincare Treatments Assessment Methods: This qualification is Internally Assessed. Each learner must create a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria associated with each unit. The main pieces of evidence for the portfolio could include some or all of the following: • Assessor observation • Witness testimony • Learner product • Worksheets • Assignments/projects/reports • Record of oral and written questioning • Learner and peer reports • Recognition of prior learning (RPL) Assessment Requirements: Theory assignments, each unit requires a minimum of 3 practical observations/assessments.
